Tucker Wingo is a third generation race car driver. He began his racing career when he was only 15 years old, making his debut at the the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in 2008. One year later, he captured his first series championship at the speedway - winning 11 of his 18 starts in the Legend Young Lions division and becoming an instant sensation in just his second season.
After making the jump to the Pro Late Model division in 2012, and a successful fourth place finish in the season points standings, Wingo captured Rookie of the Year honors. But that was only the beginning for Wingo as he went on to claim the 2013 points championship for the Pro Late Model division at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville (the top premier division at the NFS). On his way to the championship. Wingo defeated 2-time Daytona 500 Winner Sterling Marlin in the 2013 finale. The title came on the back of consistent, strong runs, and a perseverance through adversity that brought Wingo out on top.
Success would be no stranger to Tucker in 2014. He would go on to tally up 5 top 5 finishes, 2 wins, and a close 2nd place finish in the points championship losing by a meer 4 points. Tucker would then move on to a different path trying out different forms of racing in the following years. In 2015 he would follow in his fathers footsteps in drag racing running a full NHRA Division 3 schedule in Stock Eliminator having
success, but ultimately wishing he was back in a late model. That leads us to today where he runs a dirt late model across Middle TN, having fun, never giving up, and always chasing his dream of moving up the ranks and one day showing his potential on the ultimate stage in NASCAR.
